Mattone has been an expert for 20 years in designing and building exclusive villas and homes that exceed all living expectations. They asked Conny Troost (copywriter) and me to create a magazine for them in which they can showcase their projects, as well as take new clients along on the journey of building a house and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the construction site.

NRC Handelsblad and nrc.next are two of the biggest newspapers in the Netherlands. Le concepteur has worked at the editorial office for several years, designing the Dutch headlines.

Especially nrc.next, which has a younger target audience, asks for more unconventional ways of editorial design. Creating illustrations, adding color and playing with typography make for a striking way to present in-depth articles and the latest new. Working with a dedicated team consisting of the best journalists, photographers and editors was a real pleasure.
